Theory of Change

What is the Theory of Change (ToC)?

Theory of Change (ToC) is an outcome-based approach that shows how a set of interventions is expected to lead to a certain outcome through a logical sequence of intermediate outcomes. It articulates how and why interventions work. This method allows community groups to discuss and establish the proposed long-term outcome, and then map out the process of change required to achieve the outcome by backward mapping.

Design Thinking Workshop

What is Design Thinking (DT)?

Design thinking (DT) is a bottom-up, innovative tool commonly used in community-based participatory research that emphasizes inclusiveness and power-sharing between researchers and participants. In this way, collaborative thinking could be brought into the problem-solving process, contextually specific innovation could also take place in the implementation process, and responsible sustainability could be created. It allows participants to act as social entrepreneurs to join forces and tackle social challenges they encounter in their lives proactively.
